OUR TEAM
Jerry has been a board member since 2020. He’s a first generation U.S. citizen from his Costa Rican parents. Jerry is openly gay and is a pastor’s son that loves to meet new people. He is a good listener and dedicates time for those in need. He’s also an artist by nature, architect by heart, and is happily married to his husband as of 2022.

Mark (he, him)
Mark joined the board in April 2023 and has enjoyed every minute of it. Being able to volunteer at multiple events and engaging with the community is what has drawn him to be apart of PFLAG. He moved from California in September of 2022 and just started work with Paycom. He is a huge Disney and Marvel fan and is the dad to two cats.

Katie (she, her)
Katie joined the PFLAG Board in April, 2023. She is the proud mom to one amazing teenager in Norman, OK. Katie is excited for any opportunity to engage members of the community in productive ways, and to be a small part of important change. She spends her free time engaging in all manner of nerdy activities and hanging out with her husband and cats.
Jenny (she, her)
Jenny has been on the board since October 2018. She is a proud mom of a gay son (and a straight one). She loves being out in the community, sharing the PFLAG message. Jenny has been an Administrative Assistant for most her career and brings those skills and talents to the team. She lives in Norman with her husband of 11+ years and 2 rescue dogs.
Jorian (he, they)
Jorian has been a board member since 2020. He celebrates having a large diverse family attending a multitude of events to support cousins, nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Work + Life + Self balance is important and Jorian seeks to help others find that balance through mentorship programs. In their down time Jorian enjoys spending time with friends usually playing things like Dungeons and Dragons.
Rain (they, them)
Rain has been on the board since 2020 and lived in Norman since 2015. They identify as nonbinary and bisexual. Rain enjoys helping PFLAG educate the community on LGBTQ+ topics. They graduated with their MSW in 2022 and are a therapist at a community mental health center. Rain enjoys running and spending time outside with their dog.
Ava (she, her)
Ava has lived in Norman since 2010. She identifies as a woman and has been working towards her personal transition goals since moving here. She is an avid reader, lover of history, and self proclaimed nerd. Her hobbies include outdoor activities such as hiking, climbing, and camping.
Aysha (she, her)
Aysha joined the board in October 2023. She is the mother of two almost-grown sons. Aysha is an entomologist by training and a fan of all creepy-crawlies. She keeps chickens, goats, dogs, cats, and an enormous vegetable garden.
Nic (She, her )
Nic joined the PFLAG board this past October. She is excited to get involved with the community in real life since social media has been her means of connection and involvement being a mom to two younger kids. She identifies as a polyamorous lesbian who is all about building meaningful connections with others, bringing love and positivity to a hurting world, and empowering women to see their self worth. She spends her free time exploring life with her kids and making beef jerky.
