    Strensrud Counseling Services is an LGBTQ+ affirming practice for female identifying clients ages 16+. They specialize in pecialties are anxiety disorders and trauma from narcissistic abuse and/or domestic violence. You can find out more HERE.

    National Gay Pilots Association (NGPA) - the largest organization of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer aviation professionals and enthusiasts from around the world. Since Norman has a significant aviation community and its own NGPA chapter through OU, check out this educational organization that gives away nearly $1 million in scholarships HERE.

  • Abbott House - Provides a victim-centered, child-friendly environment to help children tell their stories after an instance of abuse has occurred. Through our coordinated efforts with law enforcement, child welfare investigators, and mental health and medical professionals, we help set children on the path to healing. Go to their website HERE.

    Palomar - Partners with other community agencies to provide wraparound services to victims of domestic violence, child abuse, sexual assault, stalking, elder abuse, and human trafficking. Their website is HERE.

    Women’s Resource Center - The WRC provides assistance for people (not just women) victimized by domestic and sexual violence. Check them out HERE.

  • Cleveland County Health Department - Offers STD testing/treatment, Family Planning, Immunizations, Covid-19 vaccines and testing. Their information can be found HERE.

    The Diversity Center of Oklahoma - Reduces barriers in the Gender Diverse & LGBTQ+ communities and their families, including disenfranchised and marginalized people of color by providing quality primary health care treatment, and behavioral health treatment, along with additional complimentary health care services.     Diversity Family Health - Located in Oklahoma City, they offer health services for the needs of our gender diverse LGBTQ+ community. They let people self-refer and can be contacted at 405-848-0026. Or check out their website HERE.

    Guiding Right - a nonprofit that enhances the health and well-being of minorities through leadership in public and community health practices, and collaborations and partnerships. Their staff works tirelessly to increase health awareness and education of the community while connecting clients to helpful resources, such as free HIV testing. HERE is their website.

    Planned Parenthood - One of the nation’s leading providers of high-quality, affordable health care, and the nation’s largest provider of sex education. “With or without insurance, you can always come to us for your health care.” Check them out HERE.

    Dr. Shauna Lawlis - Shauna Lawlis, M.D., at OU Children’s Adolescent Medicine Clinic (OU Health Sciences Center in OKC) was shared with us from an ally who is raising a transgender 14-year-old and has been quite pleased with their care. Her office can be reached at 405-271-6208.

    Variety Care - A non-profit community health center with 15 locations. Their team is dedicated to making it more convenient and less expensive for you and your family to receive medical care. Their website is HERE.

  • Psychiatric Wellness is an LGBTQ+ affirming integrative psychiatry clinic and providing medication management as well as checking for physical problems that could contribute to mental health conditions. We also address lifestyle factors that could be contributing to poor mental health as well. Learn more about them HERE.

    Central Oklahoma Community Mental Health Center - COCMHC offers a wide range of services from case management, mental health, and substance abuse, to child and family services. Click HERE for more.

    Red Rock Behavioral Health Services - A nonprofit community mental health organization that was founded in 1974. They provide integrated behavioral health and physical health care coordination services to indigent and insured Oklahomans.   • First Congregational Church of Norman-UCC - an open and affirming congregation that welcomes and embraces LGBTQ+ community members into the full life of the congregation. FCC-UCC meets Sundays at 4 p.m. at 601 24th Ave SW (building of Memorial Presbyterian Church).

    Sanctuary Women’s Development Center - Supports basic human rights by offering homeless and low-income women and children resources, providing support and advocacy to alleviate the effects of poverty within the community and providing tools to overcome homelessness. Check them out HERE.

    St. Stephen's United Methodist Church - A progressive Christian church that is open and affirming of all ages, ethnicities, sexual orientations, gender identities, economic brackets and walks of life.   • Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oklahoma - BBBS creates and supports one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth so that every person can reach their full potential. They are committed to creating and cultivating a safe environment where all individuals feel respected and valued equally. They are also committed to a nondiscriminatory and anti-racist approach and are committed to dismantling any inequities within our policies, systems, programs, and services. Check them out HERE.

    Bridges - A reputable organization that empowers high school students in family crisis to pursue education without obstacles. The program assists students with food, clothing, shelter, and medical needs. They also receive counseling in life skills and have advocates to help them graduate. Click HERE for more info.

    NYSH - Norman Youth Safe Haven is open to youth, from ages 13-17 or are still in high school. NYSH welcomes youth who are or may be lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender/transsexual, queer, or questioning (LGBTQQ). They also welcome youth who have friends or significant others who are LGBTQQ.     Rainbow Fleet - Has been serving children, families, child care professionals and communities in central Oklahoma since 1972.     Q-Space - Q-Space offers a safe & substance-free space for LGBTQ+ Oklahomans ages 13-25. Fun activities, education & mentor guidance foster health & wellness.
