Advocacy: The act of arguing in favor of something, such as a cause, idea, or policy; active support. To intercede; champion; defend. Ultimately, individuals are responsible for standing up for themselves. Realistically, there are times when folks need help or aid to stand up against unjust conditions or prejudice in the community and society in general. The links in the sidebar offer resources and information that can be useful in our mission to advocate on behalf of GLBT persons. |
